as your Club Growth Director
I’m an engineer by training, a seasoned IT/telecom project & program manager and a trainer with sound technological skills together with leadership, team and project/program management experience, having worked in a multitude of countries in 4 continents.
Focused in teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship and getting things (well) done, I’m used to multi-language/multicultural environments both on professional, family and personal relations! My journey with Toastmasters began 12 years ago, and while achieving my first DTM in 2016 (then in 2020 and 2023), I have served in various leadership roles, including Area Director and twice as Division Director. These experiences have not only honed my public speaking and leadership skills but have also given me a deep understanding of the intricacies of club management and development.
Throughout the years I’ve served in multiple club officer roles and supported the District mission by building new clubs and supporting all clubs in achieving excellence. I’ve helped create, sponsor, and mentor clubs in 8 different countries, and supported more than 50 clubs to achieve higher levels of excellence. In 2016, I started engaging with the District 74 leadership team to get Angola to be part of the District. This was finally made possible in 2021! After achieving President’s Distinguished as an Area Director last year, I’m proudly serving as a Division I Director (6 areas encompassing Angola, Eswatini, Mozambique and part of South Africa)!
I’m focused on teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship and getting things (well) done. My motivation to serve as a Club Growth Director in District 129 comes from knowing and seeing the huge untapped potential within our District. There are many great leaders ready to shine. In this light, I am eager to bring my skills and experiences to the table as the Club Growth Director.8
My personal vision for Distric 129 Club Growth Director centers on three key pillars:
